Music for the Wedding Ceremony

The following information regarding musical terms and common practices may be helpful in guiding you through the selection process:

A Prelude refers to a musical selection performed before the ceremony and provides a welcoming atmosphere as guests arrive. You may choose one or several of the works listed below. We generally begin the prelude music a half an hour before the wedding and we will include your selections closest to the beginning of the service.

A Processional signals the beginning of the ceremony and the entrance of the wedding party. You may choose a separate selection for the bridesmaids and another for the bride, or one selection for the entire wedding party.

A Recessional is the music performed for exiting at the conclusion of the ceremony.

We would be happy to assist you in making your selections. The repertoire listed below appears on all of our wedding contracts and corresponds to the same numbered excerpts recorded on All Seasons Trio’s CD.
